The Gradient axis allows you to shift the weight of the letters up or down. The default value is at 300, which is the middle of the letter, taking into account ascenders and descenders, and shifts between -200 and 800.
The slant axis goes from -20 to 20, which stands for the degree of slanting. this will allow you to further customise the handwritten feel of your designs. Each slant direction was drawn with its own random values, meaning that letters shapes will also alter along this axis.
By using the LIGA Opentype feature, which should be switched on by default in most environments, the Lowwercase letters will always attach to eachtother, and the uppercase will attach to the lowercase.
The uppercase letters have been built in such a way that they can be displayed in 5 different ways: Default, Accordeon (narrowing towards the center of each word), pseudorandom, large rounded letters and large diagonal letters. Keep in mind that having multiple stylisc sets switched on will create unexpected results!
Please note that the caps will not connect to the lowercase letters if one of the stylistic sets is used.
Activate the CASE feature to make sure your period, comma or underscore line up nicely with the base of the capital letters.
