BM Glue is our contribution to representing the written hand in digital form. It is also an attempt to extend our understanding of its most important attribute: the appearance of “organicness”. To achieve this, BM Glue has been constructed via a custom pipeline. Its main feature: Each connecting letter has a bespoke connection to all other letters it can connect with (LC to LC, UC to LC) and is additionally distorted on multiple levels. This large glyphset helps create a uniquely organic feel. Three axes add further depth to the typeface by influencing its weight, weight distribution and slant.

BM Glue comes with three axes: Next to the more conventional weight and slant axes, there is an additional axis called Gradient, which shifts the horizontal position of the weight up or down. This aesthetic, inspired by Graffiti, namely tagging with a fat cap, transforms BM Glue from a pen-written look to a marker or spraycan appearance.
